About me
Laura began her USGS career in 1995 as a summer student and was hired full-time in 1997 as a Hydrologic Technician running surface water and groundwater field trips and computing records. Over time she started doing LDM duties, teaching courses, and testing NWIS applications. In 2019, Laura hung up her field waders and joined the Hydrologic Networks Branch (HNB). She first served as the HNB Software Team Lead, and is now the acting Branch Chief. She is also DECAP product owner, and is leading the Unified Field Data Collection Application project that is part of the NWIS Modernization program. Laura spends her spare time Nordic skiing, hiking, and gardening.
